The wonderful world of Amateur Radio otherwise known as Ham Radio. Ham Radio got its name from the earliest days of radio. Amateur operators were said to always "ham" the frequencies making traffic for the commercial messages difficult to transmit.
I edited the current Extra Exam Pool questions to only include the correct answer. This allows for someone preparing to take the exam by memorizing the correct answers.
I found this method easier than spending countless hours pouring over the training materials. You may use the file if you wish, but don't email me saying that this is cheating. I am only being logical with the data available that allows anyone to download the question pools from multiple sites. If you prefer the traditional method, I suggest that you purchase the study materials from the American Radio Relay League.
I provide these files as a public service to anyone that wants to use them in preparing for the exam. The Amateur Extra Question Pool is valid through 6/30/2012. I have not provided the Technician and General Question Pools as I feel that studying in the traditional manner for the these licenses gives a firm foundation in the basics of radio operation important to every Ham.
Once you become a Ham, I recommend joining the ARRL as the monthly QST magazine is a true resource. I also recommend purchasing a copy of an operations guide for additional study and reference as needed.
